Georgian Bay - Sept. or Oct.?

We are looking at the 3rd wk. of September. I looked at Killbear, and it looks great. I read reports of bears in the campgrounds as well. That is OK. I know in the western U.S. you normally can not hike with dogs because of the animals, and would probably prefer not to hike with her where there are bears anyway. She is a non-barker, but if she was looking out the window and saw a bear, I am not certain she would not bark and maybe attract it to the camper if we are not there. My guess is the only time the bears are in this campground is after dusk and at dawn though. Any ideas on this? You have all been very helpful.
