Getting a DL in Ciudad Mexico

Just something to keep in mind for anyone considering getting a licence in Mexico- I know 1st hand that if you have a drivers' licence in Manitoba, it is illegal to hold any other licence. The question is right on the MB licence annual renewal form. If you answer yes or if they should find out, you must forfeit the other licence or lose the MB licence. I assume this is also the case in other provinces???
