What "Lauren" said: leave the Coast for another trip. There's plenty to see and to keep you busy for 12 days in and around Glacier NP.
Bring your passports and cross the border and visit Waterton Lakes NP in Alberta on this trip. Glacier and Waterton are connected and so are basically one park separated by the US-Canada border.
Lake Louise (and Banff NP and Jasper NP) is a complete trip unto itself from Minnesota. Drive all the way to Calgary and then head west to the Canadian Rockies.
From Minnesota save a trip to the Pacific NW and the Coast for another time as well. Too much to see and too many miles to travel to cram it all into a short 12 days.
Enjoy Montana. We love it.
