Steep climb coming out of Cedar City
Are you under 50 feet? If so why not go east on Utah 9 from Zion to Mt Carmel?
I have a 17' truck and a 24' trailer for a total length of 41', but I don't want to deal with the long tunnel.

If you are coming from the north, 20 is a easier route.
Coming from the south, but we are looking for more scenic, as long as it is not TOO difficult.

Either take the park road east out of the park ( a steep climb but no downhill heading east) or take Hwy 20 (easier descent than Hwy 14). Do not take Hwy 14 unless you really enjoy mountain driving and are confident in your braking. With your small RV you can do it but just be aware that it's not the easiest of the 3 options.
While I *DO* like mountain driving, DW does not. My life might be better taking 20 a little farther north.

Another way that might be longer (not sure) but you can add in the North Rim of the Grand Canyon is to take Hwy 9 west to Hurricane, UT then pick up UT59 which become AZ389 to Fredonia, AZ then south to Grand Canyon or north on 89 to Bryce
That would be nice, but we spent almost a week at the north rim before coming to Zion. That would be backtracking.

You'll be fine, I've done it pulling double and I doubt your 64' long.
Thanks, but having DW curled up in the floorboard of the truck sucking her thumb the whole drive kind of defeats the purpose of taking the scenic route.
I appreciate all of the good information. I think HWY 20 will be safest for my marriage.
