Gonzaga Bay in Sept!

Thanks for the great feedback everyone. Yup we know the beach shuffle, plus we always wear water shoes. Have Palo Verde here at the house. Do you strip the bark & needles off? Our Palo Verde has huge needles. Road is now paved to the turn off to the beach. Only dirt is from there to the beach. Still have to watch the dips in the paved road and fallen rocks. Key is, we will not be in a hurry. The Whale Shark is the main reason for the trip down at that time of the year, we will have a kayak. Since we live in AZ full-time the heat doesn't bother us too much but if it does the good old Motorhome has a great gen & 2 ACs. Anything below 90F is open the window time. Going dirt biking on Friday and will be just under 90F. My riding buddy will be whining all afternoon.

Grab a Palo Verde stick on the way down. Use it as a picador de mantas rayas.

Cleared of rays, an access area usually stays clear of rays until that night when they return.

Shuffle, shuffle, jab jab. The first time you feel a shock run up the palo verde you will look upwards and say "Oh Thank You"

And now the road is paved to within 3 miles of Gonzaga ( possibly all the way by now ) but watch out for the vados between San Felipe and Puerticitos. There is a military checkpoint about a mile before. I usually take them a revista about futbol. I don't mention it until AFTER the inspection.

You will have a great trip. Only place I've been within a few feet of a Whale Shark was Gonzaga. What a rush! Craziest fishing bite I've ever been on was there too.

Will do! The plan is to stop in SF for a couple of days on the return leg. Will keep in touch.
