Good spot to spend the winter in Mexico

My family and I ventured into Mexico half a year ago and are falling in love with this country. Besides the fact that the weather is fantastic( where we are right now, daytime temperature stays around 70), the low cost of living in this country is also a big plus for us.
We are staying at San Juan del Lago Eco RV Community, in the state of Michoacan, located by the beautiful lake Cuitzeo. This park is not a "parking lot" style of RV park, it has so much land to offer to the residents, we even got our piece of land to turn into a garden. If you have a green thumb, you'd love to be here to retire or at least to spend a few months while you can have your own organic supplies from your garden next to your RV.
We also found this place our ideal base in Mexico to explore so many other attractions nearby. Would love to meet and connect with other full-time RVers here!

    We were able to buy our house for what our Safari cost new.

    We also will be selling the place on Silver Strand this year, living in Zihuatanejo full time.

    We are beach people, and it came down to water temperature. California water is too cold for us, Z water is perfect. Love the climate, and the bugs aren't bad. Really.

    Once we realized that we had spent 6 months a year here for 11 years, the decision was easy to make!

    Not everybody has enough money for a second house. Or - certain (after many trips) that this is the place to be. Though, rent is cheap. Climate sucks, for the most part - but Mex is right, it changes quickly with elevation. Bugs are surprisingly resilient to high altitudes and lower temperatures. As usual, if you don't want crowds and noise of a big Mexican city, you end up living hours away from the nearest big hospital, but then, nobody gets out of here alive, anyway.

    And my place in a straight line is 87 miles north of Tallyho. I have 4.9 hectarias of Haden Mangos. A monster garden, 11 coconut palms, mamey, limon, vanilla and chocolate. Umbilicaled to a small house.

    It is about a 5-1/2 hour drive from here to Cuitzeo. But altitude utterly changes the climate from tropical savannah to open range.

    Wow, been 45 years since I drove to Zihuat. Only way in was a rough road in from Acapulco. And only dirt streets when we got there. the epitome of a sleepy sea-side village.

    Not any more. We'll be returning there some time this year to sell the house, RV and VW.

    OK, inquiring minds want to know: WHERE?
    i did a quick search for Silver Strand Beach and came up with a spot noth of LA. Wondering if that is it, or....?

    If I wanted to spend winters in Michoacan, staying in one place, I would just rent a casita. Relatively cheap state. Though there is a price to pay, as with everything in life.
