We visit our kids in California once or twice a year, after 1st trip of fridge surprises, we "Californiazed" our fridge/freezer for the most part. I still have to install heavy duty hinges on the doors. And a rear kitchen doesn't help. We even had a wire shelf fall down.
These things help a lot...but watch for the plastic bolt rubbing on bottom of container bottoms. I thought whipping cream was hard to clean up. Salad dressing is worse.

If you have had shelving fall down PM me. We've solved that problem with good results.
For closets, get some foam pipe insulation at Lowes or Home Depot and put on closet rods. It sort of cushions the hanger so clothes don't fall off.
But on the positive side...soap pods in waste tanks sure have a chance to do their job.
