Well I know we don't want to go the coast itself this trip like Washington, Oregon and California Coasts.
We don't want to be in cites, more scenic, hiking exploring etc.
Gran Canyon, up thru Utah, Glacier NP, Yellowstone,
Hope that gives you folks a better idea of what we like to see.
But that may be too much? Is it?
For three months' time your choices are very doable. Don't overplan it. Once you get west you will not be driving 400 - 500 miles a day so it will be hard to plan ahead.
There are plenty of campsite options in all of those parks - even without reservations. Just stay nearby outside the park the previous night and get to the campgrounds early morning as folks are leaving. We have been in all of those parks without reservations with our 40' motorhome.
However, since you'll be at Grand Canyon in summer (we normally go in spring or fall), it would be advisable to make a reservation at Trailer Village, a concessionier in the park itself. It's a popular campground and very convenient. The free shuttle stops outside the campground entrance and you can ride it all day long, getting on and off whenever. Have a great trip!
