- IvylogExplorer IIII go straight through often but between 10 and 2 or after 6. X2 on not using right lanes and you can tuen 750AM for traffic reports.
- jlscjsExplorerI thought at one time someone told me that large RV's are not allowed to use I75 downtown, is this not true or is it something else not allowed to drive thru downtown?
- edatlantaExplorer III lived in Atlanta for over 15 years. Rush "hour" is up until 10:00am and starts up shortly after 2:00pm. I would recommend as you approach Atlanta, get in the third lane from the "left" and stay there. The right hand lanes are continually dropping off and you have entering traffic to deal with. As you approach the junction of I85 as you approach downtown make sure you don't exit to I85 North. It is a left exit. You definitely don't want to take I285 around Atlanta for two reasons. It is a lot further than straight through and all of the 18 wheelers are on I285. They have to go around.
You will be fine, just pick your lane and stay in it. - Beverley_KenExplorerWe have had good luck starting from the northern suburbs between 9am and 2 pm or after 6pm. We have tried about 3pm SB and hit heavy traffic in the south, after the bypass rejoins I75.

Depends on the time of day. If not "rush" hours, then right through on I-75 would be my choice. If "rush" hours, stop somewhere and wait til it ain't rush hours.
Thanks. What would you consider to be rush hours? - robsouthExplorer IIDepends on the time of day. If not "rush" hours, then right through on I-75 would be my choice. If "rush" hours, stop somewhere and wait til it ain't rush hours.
