Health Insurance & Cellphone coverage for trip to Canada

I need to get health insurance and a cellphone plan for an upcoming trip to Canada. Specifically we will be in NB, NS and PEI. My current cell plan does not have any accommodations for outside the US....

Thanks to all the members for useful info when taking trips! Medigap insurance has a lifetime cap of $50000. Good to know if you have ever used it previously. A hospital stay could use that up in a hurry.
