Standard requirement for border crossings is that all the paperwork matches up and there are no extra names on papers that aren't accounted for.
Our vehicles are owned by an LLC and I had to draw up a permission note so I could get a TIP into Mexico.
Recently I changed the name of the LLC to the same as our names and they don't notice the "LLC" on the end when we cross borders in South America so that saves an extra 30 minutes of explanations. I still carry a notarized permission letter just in case.
To get into Turkey recently I had to show the original receipt for the MH because the company we bought it from does all the paperwork in their name because of EU rules against foreign ownership and after a lot of explanation, it was accepted.
