Help information o on I84 through Columbia River Gorge

We are leaving Depoe Bay and plan to travel I84 through the Columbia River Gorge on Sunday to White Salmon Washington traveling with a truck camper. From White Salmon I plan to travel either highway ...

If your in a hurry I84 is your best choice. From Portland it is around 100 miles and your east of the cascades andmany winds die down considerably. Since your already part way down the coast, why not head east on 22 thru Salem to Bend and on 20 to Ontario. Colder, but much shorter.
