Help information o on I84 through Columbia River Gorge

I am also from the area and have never had an issue with winds. I84 is a freeway but there are some great views. I personally love Hwy 14 on the Washington side and if you go as far as Patterson, there is a great little campground called Crow Butte on an island that is well worth the stop.
