help with route from las vegas to ely, nv

Question

We are traveling from Las Vegas to Ely, NV. Looking at the map there are 2 options 318 or a little longer on 93. Not sure which one to take as far as fuel and road condition. Anyone able to help with that.

From Vegas you take 93, then to 318 then to 6 and back to 93 at Ely, if you take 93 all the way, the scenic route it is 40 miles further.  There is plenty of fuel along the way and a great road...

318 is a much quicker/shorter route.

318,not only a little shorter, but you will miss a couple of grades.

We always take 318 on the way to Twin Falls.

There is no fuel from Ash Springs until Lund which is a little over 100 mi. Make sure you fill up in Alamo or Ash Springs and go 318
