I'm a bit puzzled by the Ferry costs though. Neither of the US Ferries are running to the Island right now, but I did a comparison with the cost of Car and two passengers.
BC Ferries $89.20 Cdn.
Anacortes-Sidney $71.65 US
Black Ball $81.00 US.
I would say that when you allow for the exchange rates, the BC Ferry costs are lower. (This is also disregarding the price sales that BCF is running right now)
It's the 6.35 CDN overage for the extra feet that kills ya.
Had the Black Ball ferry from Port Angles to Victoria with our M/H plus a 22 foot trailer for half what it would have cost on the Tasswesen ferry.
