If you suggest Interstate 5, which roads would you recommend getting to 5 from 101 (e.g. 199 from Crescent City to Grants Pass, and 126 from Eugene to Florence).

from eureka to florence I doubt I 5 would be faster, in fact may take more time and is a very boring drive. 101 is a very nice drive, easy to do, very scenic. in the summer it will be slow, but you'll enjoy it.
