Highway 101 Nothern CA to Newport Oregon

Very easy run gets a little tight between Eureka and Cresent City but just for about 10 miles but other than that it's smooth sailing. Give yourself enough time to stop in Bandon have lunch in old town and see the beautiful coast line

Semis run this road all the time, so size and length are not an issue.
while a nice road 101 does of sections that are twisting roads, so just don't be in a hurry.

While most RVers don't feel the need for a radar detector or a CB radio, the "bears in Oregon are heavy and sneaky". They frequently hide behind over passes and trees and shoot radar coming right at you. I always want to know where the Bears are sitting even If you normally drive only 55mph. The CB truckers will alert you to road hazards and accidents up in front of you and will give you directions in the event you have to detour around. 1 $400 speeding ticket will buy the best Valentine Radar dector.

Yes they do that's what makes it tight (click on tight)

We were through there a few years ago with our 38' fifth wheel. I thought it was very doable. Take your time, slow down and you'll do just fine!

That "tight" spot in the above post does NOT look that tight to me. We've been on narrower roads than that for short distances at a time (WITH the fifth wheel).

I guess their idea of tight and my idea of tight are much different. :h

Enjoy the ride, the 101 is one of the most beautiful trips we've done with the RV! We went from north to south ending near Petaluma on the PCH. Take your time, there's a lot to take in!!

I agree that isn't all that tight.
try this, this isn't 101 it is Hwy 26 going from Portland to the coast.
I will add that one of the tightest spots on 101 is just south of Yachats on Cape Perpetua where they are doing some bridge repair and the road is one lane during working hours.
