550 from Ouray to Durango is aka the Million Dollar Highway. It is high mountain driving with lots of steep inclines and descents, switchbacks, and steep dropoffs without guard rails. Not for the faint of heart, but certainly doable if you're comfortable with that type of driving. The scenery is spectacular! All kinds of rigs, as well as tractor/trailers, traverse it daily, weather permitting.
