Highway 601 Mocksville, NC to Santee, SC
Wondering if anyone is familiar with Hwy 601. Usually take 77 South to I-26. Considering this slower route just to bypass Charlotte and Columbia. Any opinions?? Driving a Class C, no toad.

I can only speak to it up until Monroe. It's not a bad drive at once you've cleared Concord. I would suggest taking Hwy 29 in China Grove to bypass I85 construction through Kannapolis though. There's some real pretty country going into Monroe, all farm land.
On a side note, the last leg of 485 is open, bypassing 77 through inner Charlotte. You'll jump back on 77 down around Carowinds.
