Also; Zion will charge an excort fee ($20 ??) to take U thru the tunnel. High sided RVs must drive the center line to avoid scraping the rounded sides of the tunnel top. If U travel the tunnel after normal park hours, its free, but U'r on U'r own. If U meet another vehicle coming the other way someone will have to back out. Can U say FIGHT!:E

Good information as we plan on taking a trip through that area next year with your travel trailer.

The 14% grades on UT 12 are short, so really not a problem.

Some folks are concerned about the "hogsback" section with steep drop offs on both sides of the road. That section is short also and not an issue for those who can keep the tires on the pavement of other 2-lane roads. No rush to get through as no one is in a hurry anyway.

We haven't traveled it recently, but did years back towing a TT and we were behind a tour bus going through. Yes, you can go through with a Class A. You pay an extra fee and go through on your own, down the middle. Traffic is stopped on both ends. It's an amazing experience.

I can't respond about Hwy 12 right now, but traveled that towing the same trailer from Torrey to Bryce and Zion. It was no problem even though there are 14% grades in places.

Hwy 12 - grade - don't let this scare you. We were novice towers at the time and it was not that bad.

Maximum length on Hwy is 50 feet. You can have your navigator drive toad through until you get past s-curves and the tunnels. The n connect up. Max length for single vehicle(MH) is 40 feet.
