How do the grades compare on I-40 to 441 in NC

Thanks Guys, I appreciate the information. I will take I-40 this trip. I plan to still take 441 to Sylva then 23 over to I-40 since we live in the north west corner of SC near the NE GA border. I know the mountain at Gold City Gem Mine is pretty bad but the burb usually does alright on it. And it has time to cool down on the other side where as 441 over Newfound Gap is a very long uphill climb.
