It's not like it will happen again soon. Now that all the underbrush has been burned off the new greenery will soon pop up. Good to go for another 50+ yrs.
Actually the greenery and under brush as well as new trees will quickly grow back in a short amount of time.
Now it may take a little longer up in the Ft Mac area as it is farther north than where I live however I have seen a number of areas that were ravaged by fire and in about 10 years there are new trees and brush growing, all you have to do is drive through Kootenay National Park that had a huge Forrest fire in 2003.
