A couple of corrections from other posters. Hwy 28 is the one across Michigan, not 26. Hwy 17 in Ontario does not go through Algonquin Park. It follows North of the park. We were to all of those spots last month. I would rather take 17 than the trip through the Park. There is military museum in Petawawa, Ontario that is a free interesting stop. We saw nothing more than a squirrel on our last few trips through Algonquin on the main road only. Last year we even camped there a couple nights and didn't see any animals. We don't go through the trails because I use a walker.
