Hwy 395 california
We are wanting to drive from Barstow CA to Reno on Hwy 395 in the middle of May next year. Any problems for a 36 foot motohome along this route?

Normally not a problem. There is a big climb out of Bishop (Sherwin Grade) and a smaller climb between Lee Vining and Bridgeport. Hwy 58 from Barstow to the 395 is fairly flat and straight and 395 up to Bishop is as well, with some hills. We drove this route late April in our 39' Tiffin Allegro Bus towing our Jeep Grand Cherokee. We did hold over an extra day in Bishop because of the threat of snow up north of Mammoth, which never materialized. Mid May is usually no problem.
