You should be able to do this route no problem. I'm a newbie and have done this route twice in the last year with a gas Tundra pulling a 7400 lb travel trailer, and will do it again in 2 weeks. Ocoee and Nantahala are the slowest routes, but speed limit is slower and really no one is trying to go fast thru those routes - it is too crowded and too crooked. Biggest watch-out is dropping a trailer tire off the shoulder on Ocoee curves, and 2 blind 90 degree curves around rock outcroppings on the Cleveland side of Ocoee. The few 18 wheelers we've seen there apparently announce their arrival at the blind curves - sometimes they will stop and wait for something and then here comes the other truck around the curve.
