I agree with Old Guy. Pull over if you are holding back the traffic. May are driving way faster they their ability.

Just made this trip last week moving to Idaho.... And in August and September.
Have never stopped in Shamiko, or any of the other little stops.
Maybe 1/3 of the way to Biggs Junction from the Rest Stop is a pullover that is a mountain identifier. On a clear day a worthy stop.
