We were in Zion yesterday and park basically closed due to rock and mud slides. Highway 9 into park from east closed before and after long tunnel. We had to exit to the wast to get pack to Panguitch - 120+ miles.
We made it through. Saw a truck pulling a trailer headed South on 169, so I think you'll be okay. There was a police officer at exit 93 directing traffic.
Beautiful drive through Hwy 167 North along Lake Mead. We didn't take I15 North out of Vegas, because we just didn't want to chance getting routed through the Hwy 93 North detour...that route sounded too much.
