I-35 Dallas to Austin
Is I-35 Dallas to Austin TX under construction?? We will be going down in January pulling 35' 5th wheel. Would going over to 281 at Denton be a better route?? We are headed to Alamo TX. Thanks Ste...

Yes there is some construction...as always. The traffic thru it, Dallas to Austin, is handled very well, but the lane shifts and the closed in feeling of the pavement between the concrete barrier and the white line makes me sit alittle closer to the edge of the seat...only for a few miles. I44 and 281 is more casual, but has the above mentioned traffic controls. 19 miles longer if you take the I44/281 route, OK City to San Antonio vs I35.
