I-45 southbound Dallas to Houston

Down to 1 lane for construction around Huntsville. Backed up for miles July 3. Don't take the frontage road like I did. Get off at Madisonville and take an alternate route of your choice. Not sure how long the construction is planned.

    Yeah they're probably off today. Looked like a pretty big project to me.

    Google maps traffic is showing I-45 all green now (meaning no problems). Maybe it was a temporary closure yesterday, but open today for the holidays since workers are probably off.

    I try to always look ahead for potential problems on google traffic before heading out. It is usually pretty accurate.
