I-5 Bridge Collapse at Mount Vernon, WA
We travelled over this bridge twice today on our way to Eastern Washington. We are now sitting by the fire in Eastern Washington (linked on-line to the world) and are horrified by what we are seeing....

First, it is spelled Sedro-Woolley.
Second, the bridge over the Skagit at Sedro-Woolley isn't in all that great a shape because so many truckers have used it - it will feel like a roller coaster.
The bridge at Fir Island is also not that great - - nor is the bridge on the west side of Mt. Vernon. The only good bridge is just east of I-5 (Riverside road) and that has major shopping areas on both sides, so it will be a major traffic headache.
Glad mom moved south this winter to the Seattle area and we don't have to go up to Woolley to visit her this summer in the rig.
