When can we expect an ice free run South from Washington to SOCAL after winter? Thinking mid-March / early April. We will need some sun by then...... thinking Palm Springs.

While ice may be an issue, I've had much more heartburn with the friggin fog thats you drive into like driving into a wool sock.
You're cruising along, every things purring, and you come around a corner and within 200 yards you can't see 50 feet in front.
Just wanted to suggest something to take your mind off of the snow an ice.
