I-55 or Hwy 3(The Great River Rd) in IL

If you want to get off I-55 and see something different then instead of taking Rt 3 along the river take Rt 127 just north of Cairo to Murphysboro. Rt 127 runs parallel to Rt 3. Where Rt 3 is generally in the river flats, Rt 127 runs thru the hills above the bluffs thru IL wine country. Rt 127 is a good road but hilly thru much prettier country.
