I-70 versus I-8- from KC to Cheyenne

I know I asked before but was a while back we are driving next week (on a Sunday) to CHeyenne from Kansas City in 40 foot w/tow we have gone 70 many times thought we'd try different scenery by going I-80 but heard lots of trucks more than 70..maybe not so much on a Sunday...anyone been there recently hows construction?
