- boiseidahoExplorerIf you have the time you will be very close to Hells Canyon area while driving
on Us 95. Just west of Cambridge Id. One of my favorite camping spots. Id Power
has several camp grounds along the Snake River there. P. S. Just don't tell
everyone else. I hope you enjoy Id. - grandma_lynnExplorerGot my laugh for the evening. But I read it as 195 which nearly parallels 95, except it is in Washington coming into Spokane. Enjoy your time spent here in Idaho.
- GottahaveitModeratorExcellent...Looks like we will take US95 instead of I95 LOL. Thanks for all your suggestions, information and help. Checked out the State Parks along the way and they look awesome. Really looking forward to the trip. Thanks again, Kathie
- obgrahamExplorerUS95 is a whole lot more pleasant to drive on that I-95!
I didn't find the grades to be any problem, and there are plenty of passing lanes. Drive it right after the first hay cutting for an olfactory experience! - pauljExplorer IIBoth White Bird and Lewiston have 'old grades' for those that can handle curves but not grades (those of you still driving Model Ts). The White Bird one has a stop for an historic battle field.
- IslandmanExplorer IIUS 95 is a great highway; as several have pointed out, there are some grades at Whitebird and outside of Lewiston as you head north. Stop at the state park in Lewiston, Hells Gate I believe is the name. A great place to spend a night or two with full hookups and reasonable price. Just take your time and enjoy the scenery and stop once in awhile to get out and enjoy the fresh air and take pictures.

Geeze give me a break. Its obvious I meant US 95 since I said Idaho. For those of you that have nothing better to do than point out my error forget I asked the question. For those of you that gave me informative input I thank you very much.
Well understand that any error like that is great fodder for those waiting to dig their rig out from under a couple of feet of snow!!
Quickest solution is to Edit the OP, to the correct Highway!
Yes, mistakes like that are fair game!!:B - TUCQUALAExplorerDon't PO the moderator!!!!
