There are several beaches near San Carlos where RVs park at no cost. You'd likely be parked with other RVers. As you probably have found during your travels, such people usually help each other out when needed and keep an eye on things in the area - basically providing an informal sort of security. So, even though you're alone in your RV, you have helpful neighbors nearby.
