Everybody is using propane is Baja, but on 2,000 km stretch there is only one propane plant where you can refill portable 20-30-100 lb tanks. Yes, there used to be wandering propane trucks but they have become less common since a year or two ago.
Though she asked about Sonora, it might be slightly different there, though I don't think too different. I forgot that she is in a motorhome with a large tank, this could last for a moth or two.
