The amount of cooking has very little effect on how long the propane tank lasts. The biggest propane eater is not a stove, but fridge, and in a cold weather - furnace.
Stove takes mere 3-5 lbs a month with hot meals 2-3 times a day. Fridge takes 1.2-2.0 lbs a DAY. Furnace takes 1.5 lb an HOUR (which could be 4 or 5 lbs a night from 6 pm to 6 am depending on the cycle, i.e. on outside temperature). In December through February the furnace alone may take 130 lbs a month - while stove would take 4 lbs a month.
Your total propane costs could exceed $80 a month, which is still not much, but it all ads up. With the camp, say, $150 a month - and this would be without water hookup and hardly with any facilities on the beach- you are at $230 a month, and we haven't touched the generator yet. And there are other costs as well. Cheaper beaches don't - usually - have good stores nearby, so get into your pickup and drive 10, 15 or 20 miles. Living on the coast, and with both motorhome and a car, is not going to be cheap.
