Right you are Almot. My meaning regarding the bed sheets was that there can be a big difference in how cool or how warm they make the bed feel when you just settle down to a long winter's nap. Nice fresh linen, beautiful in summer, can feel like ice in winter; a fuzzy synthetic, though not so pleasing in thought, can be very inviting and present little or no initial shock to your system when the thermometer dips.
I now see that Rae has solar and I often wonder why more RV'ers do not. Heading farther south means more amps from the sun for the batteries and often a higher ambient air temp. These are a boondocker's great ally, together with propane.
