Maybe just maybe you were not alive in 1955. The warmth then knocks the socks off this warm spell. Oooooooo Canada was a tropical swamp in prehistoric times. That was before of course, thick glaciers covered much of the land. The earth has warmed and cooled thousands of times, and just because "we're here" doesn't impress mother nature. I have seen El Nino's of 1950-51, 1956-57, 1968, 1983, 1997, and the present one. Some folks especially young ones, are entranced by "Weather Porn" (Google It). Bet ya you didn't know the thermal output of the sun varies several percent and it's not predictable. And Lucy with her absurd campfires caused CO2 levels to be several times higher than what they are now.
The Polar Bear is a LAND ANIMAL forced to live on the ice when there is no other option. In winter land prey disappears. The bears go seal hunting on ice.
The skewing of reality by the present generation is disheartening. Enjoy both warm and cold Christmas's. Variety is the spice of life.
