Interstate 22 Memphis to Birmingham
Looking at this route for next October. Is this a new interstate? It didnt look complete at the Birmingham end. Is it completed now or to be completed soon? Good road? Thanks, Ken

I have driven this route several time over the past years. Couple of things you should be aware of are 1. Besure and top up on fuel before you get on in Birmingham as there is not much until you get into Mississippi; 2. watch for the rough road in Mississippi as the road surface is concrete and the you will feel the joints; 3. There are no campgrounds between Birmingham and Fulton, Mississippi that I am aware of on I-22. Otherewise it is a nice drive.
