interstate 40 Kingman Az . to Flagstaff Az.
Has anybody noticed how bad 40 has gotten? I wonder when they might fix it. I've gotten to the point where the loop from Kingman to Sleigman is the way to go.

You are correct about the taxes by truckers but the problem is the states allow trucks to run weights way beyond what the roads were designed for. If we went back to the weights allowed in the 60's we would have much less road damage.
The reconstruction of the roads to meet the current weight allowance would run into the trillion range not millions.
To built a Interstate today would be a couple million per mile.
