It sure is quiet here....

This time of year normally there are a lot more postings as people prepare to travel after Christmas. Anecdotally it seems like people are again traveling to Mexico as bad press has ebbed. Maybe most of the folks traveling to Mexico aren't RVing.
Personally I RV'd to Mexico about 8 times since 1999 but now prefer touring by motorcycle - just the same this forum is very useful for me or anyone traveling in Mexico.
I hope it picks up here.

    Flying and renting sounds logical, easy and less expensive but where's the adventure? Even better when boondocking.

    We take off on Friday for Cuatro Cienegas, Coahuila. Can't wait.

    we just drove across Mx from Laredo to Huatulco. We saw only 2 rv's, both C class

    Only 4 rigs here in El Manglar in Zihuatanejo, one stopped in last week for a day or two and so far has been here over a week. He may leave tomorrow--he decided to get some fibreglass body repairs to his rig followed by a full body paint!

    I believe that there are three more rigs coming in on New Years Day but they are only leaving from the Fonatur park at Playa Linda. That will leave that 70 some space park essentially empty.

    I think the trend for younger people is to do their posting on Facebook Groups instead of Forums. The other trend I have noticed is that younger folks went for renting sticks and bricks instead of getting into the RV lifestyle. They don't know what they are missing.
