Jacksonville, Fl. Traffic ?

I live in Jacksonville and avoid going straight thru. I would either take the 9A east or the I295 west. As mentioned earlier even us local get confused with the construction going thru down town on I95. If you decide to go straight thru pay close attention to the overhead signs for what lane to be in.

They are in full construction mode on the overland bridge just south of the Fuller Warren Bridge near the St Johns River. Most construction is to be done at night but lane swaps are even confusing the locals. It would be a toss-up for me since I live near and avoided it even when there was no construction.

Jax traffic has nothing on Miami. Drive straight thru on 95 and you'll be fine.

I have done both by-passes but prefer straight thru but like most big cities try and miss rush hour.

Passed through once and used the bypass ever since. Didn't experience any problems passing through, just seems like a nicer drive on the bypass. The couple of minutes extra is meaningless.

We usually go straight through. We find the same amount of traffic going on the by pass as going through Jacksonville. Lots of truck traffic on the by pass.

we always take 295 on the west side....cross over the st johns south of jax and stay on it till get on north side and pick up 95.....if in car go right thru on 95...but with trailer no way.....good luck

I vote straight through on 95, that's what I do going to Savannah. Avoid rush hour like any other place.
