Yep, in Mexico we don't carry the original invoice, we use what is called tarjeta de circulacion, a small card that comes with the tag sticker.
I too hope this thread goes on because it presents an issue for Canadians who have been purchasing insurance through agents in the U.S. Let's see what the response is from Lewis and Lewis.
I know from personal experience of a Canadian couple who had their truck stolen with the original registration in the vehicle and received their check in two weeks.
