Talleyho: I assume you get your USA insurance from Progressive. That is not an option for 80% of forum members as they are Canadians. I don't think they cover trailers with the Mexico option and not autos. One of our MH's is registered in the USA. I have progressive with the Mexico option. It does not cover loss of personal items and a lot more. Still a good deal. If you have an accident and the unit is not drivable they will tow you to the border and then switch to a USA truck. BUT they do not cover any repairs done in Mexico.
