Sorry about your experience. For Mexican plated cars it is relatively simple. A check arrives after 30 days. (assuming you have the original invoice, tarjeta de circulacion, CURP, comprobante de domicilio, police report, insurance).
Don't know what happens to Mexican plated cars when they are stolen in the U.S. (it happens with frequency in major border cities like McAllen, Brownsville, and Laredo, Tx.)
