MEXICOWANDERER
Apr 02, 2014Explorer
I have always ended up on the short-end-of-the-stick when dealing with insurance coverage (USA). The last "new" vehicle I owned was rear-ended. One fender had to be replaced. There was a 3/4" gap in the trunk lid. The insurance company said "That's Good Enough. If You Don't Like It, Sue Us" Surprise! I did, and asked for $3,000 in punitive damages. Almost enough to cover lost time at work, travel, etc. I remain unimpressed with claims that Mexican insurance is inferior to USA insurance. Only when it comes to "NO INSURANCE because our insured was inebriated does this get my goat" (It involves an unhealthy deductible on collision insurance).
