Hi Art - we may e-mail later if time allows, but was interested in your situation and posts. We crossed the border today - did a straight through ala "the Jacksons", parked the trailer at Amato (sp?) in a nice rv park off the first exit after the immigration check-point. We unhooked, then headed back down over the border and turned in our permit (was in the wife's name), so now, theoretically, we'd be ok to do the same another time, plus, we'll at least get THAT deposit back ! The round-trip took about 2 hrs, so that's $150/hr. Is your cheque to be in US funds ? We haven't had any communication with HDI since we sent the requested paperwork in. We know it was delivered, but apparently the wheels turn just as slowly in Texas as they do in Mexico. Keep us in the loop - we're learning lots of new things, which we hope to never need again - kind of like high-school algebra ! RYV
