Finally heard from International Claims - the e-mail had landed in my "trash" file and that was maybe the proper place for it ! There is a 12 page valuation report which is not entirely satisfactory - they value the "trailer hitch" at $165.
And then there's this : "Please send the following pending documentation as promptly as possible so that we may continue with your claim"

Now all of us from B.C. know that such a document does not exist and I have submitted a registration and a signed transfer form which they agreed to and which is all that is needed to transfer ownership. Would it be unreasonable to think that someone who is an "adjuster" and unfamiliar with our single-paper registration/title system might think to call any one of thousands of insurance agents in B.C., or ICBC itself to get an understanding ? I feel like I'm going back to sleepless nights and lack of appetite over this. My advice is to avoid HDI Seguros, at least until they find some smarter people. I'm sorry I don't have an agent to get involved, such as the Jacksons did.
