I'll try this - hoping for some involvement

Hi - My truck was stolen on Mar 7th in Patzcuaro, Michoacán as I reported to you. The policy was with HDI Seguros and they are handling it through International Claims Service in McAllen Texas. They keep asking for more and more documentation and I have been in frequent contact with them. I live in British Columbia, Canada and we have a single-paper system of registration/title/insurance. I know other provinces or states have a 2-paper system which includes a "title" paper. We have no such paper. Ownership is proven by the registration only. I have submitted said registration along with a signed transfer form, which is what is required under our system to transfer ownership/title. Now I have received, once again, a request for an "original signed title". No such paper exists and it seems the "adjuster" is not sufficiently bright enough to educate himself on our system instead of asking for the title over and over. I have been dealing with your company for years and have bought a lot of insurance and paid a lot of money and I am not happy with the way this is being handled. Can your company become involved and straighten this out ? I have friends who deal with Qualitas through Lewis & Lewis, who got involved with similar requests when they had their Jeep stolen. These thefts are attracting a lot of attention on RV.net and there are many people who travel Mexico by vehicle who are interested in the outcome. Qualitas has now paid out for the Jeep to the Jackson's satisfaction - I am looking for a similar result and will post on rv.net as to the actual result. Thank you - Ron Mitchell, Mission, B.C.
